We walked from the Hand & Dagger pub near Treales to Catforth along the Lancaster Canal this afternoon. It was lovely to see the canal glowing in the afternoon sunshine. The banks were wreathed with Cow parsley and we saw a family of Mute Swans floating serenely along (at least until Cora the reckless Spaniel got too close for comfort and the adults let her know their views on the matter!)
These Canada Geese were out in the fields with their young too. (cont. below)
